More Tales from Jury Duty
Still on Jury Duty. I'm writing this in a recently-installed terminal in the Jury Assembly room. Got excused from two cases so far: a fascinating murder case and an assault with a deadly weapon case (the weapon being a telephone). It's been very interesting watching things happen in the courtrooms. The first judge was great - cracking jokes and smiling all the time (e.g., "Grandkids are great: you play with them, and when you get tired, you give 'em back!"). I wish I was on that case. The second courtroom was a girl's club...the two attorneys were women and the judge was a woman. Quite an interesting dynamic going on in there.
Wandered around downtown a little more during lunch today. It's rad down here. Made it over to Macy's plaza, where Tom Green caught a guy picking his nose once. It's in the middle of a Hyatt Regency.
Tomorrow is Yoshi's birthday! Kitty treats for everyone who stops by to say hi.
Dilbert's got jury duty this week, too.
