Wisdom No More

So after 7 years of putting it off, I had my wisdom teeth taken out yesterday! I have never been a big fan of oral surgery ever since the time when I was in 7th grade and I had 4 kids teeth taken out, immediately followed by having the 4 adult teeth underneath them removed after my gums were cut open. Oy! Not fun! I would have put it off even longer, since, as Whisper pointed out, I could use all the wisdom I can get to write my Masters thesis -- but enough's enough! Out with them already, said my dentist.

The whole process was pretty uneventful. The doctor plugged me into an IV and within a minute I was asleep. I kind of woke up at some point during the extractions and heard the doctor talking to the assistants and laughing. I also felt some tugging but it didn't hurt. That only lasted for less than a minute, probably. Next thing I know, I'm being walked out to the recovery room to wake up. Can't say I have any stories to tell about the whole experiences, like in that episode of "Seinfeld" where Jerry wakes up from having dental work done and the dentist and the assistant are putting their clothes back on, and Jerry's shirt is untucked. But I took some pictures when I got home! It looks like fake blood but it sure ain't, bucko!!

My face has since ballooned up to fifty times its normal size and so now I kinda look like this Chinese Brother:
